I have been reading books in order to escape during the pandemic, so have been picking fairly light fiction for the most part, with the exception of some poetry and nonfiction.
FLEISHMAN IS IN TROUBLE

Most recently I read Fleishman is in Trouble by Taffy Brodesser-Akner, which is a pretty funny take on dating apps after divorce.
RODHAM

Before that, I read American Wife and Rodham both by Curtis Sittenfeld. I love Sittenfeld’s writing style, and these two books were great to read one after the other. One is a slightly fictionalized account of Laura Bush and the other a slightly fictionalized account of Hillary Clinton. They are both so well written.
WHEN MY BROTHER WAS AN AZTEC

I’ve also read Natalie Diaz’s collection When My Brother Was an Aztec, which is a book that just haunts me, especially the first poem, but is also full of light and wonder.
RADICAL ACCEPTANCE

And lastly, because recently I started having panic attacks and anxiety, I am back to reading an old favorite: Radical Acceptance by Tara Brach. This book is such a gentle informative guide through being human and alive, and I return to it again and again.
